Barclaycard offer of another Card- Barclaycard Charity

Hello Moneysavers!

I am a Barclaycard Platinum Credit Card holder and got a letter offering me another card with them... Barclaycard Charity,

It look like it is Pre-Approved as I only had to confirm income and phone numbers then sign.

Has anyone else had any experience of this in the past ???

Barclaycard often do offers for existing customers. As they already know your history they don't need another credit check, it's no different to offering you a higher credit limit. And even if they don't want to increase your total credit they could split your existing limit between the new card and the existing card - assuming it isn't maxed out already.

Yes, Barclaycard seem to go in for this quite a lot at the mo.

I have a platinum card as well. B'card wrote to me around 9 months ago about Barclaycard Breathe. I completed a brief application (chiefly for its introductory 0% on BTs for 12 months) and received the card practically by return of post. A routine request for my credit reports some months later showed no credit checks.

I have since received a similar invitation for another of its cards, but didn't take up the offer.

Does the second credit card come up as a second account on your credit report or is it classed as one by being linked with the first?
