First Direct - Limit

Options
Hi, I'm about to sign up for a 0% purchase credit card for a bit of slow stoozing. I fancy the First Direct credit card because I bank with them.

Does anybody know what kind of limits they are happy to offer? Their website says that they offer £3k minimum. I want to apply for a £5k one but aren't too sure if I'll get knocked back straight away.

Has anybody applied for them recently?

Thanks,

Lenny.

You do know you have to make a BT to the Gold card (min £100 and a 2.5% fee applies) in order to get the 12 months 0% on purchases?

I have the offer of a guaranteed card in my secure area. Only been with them 8 months and paid 7 months salary in (and straight back out again). My pre-approved limit is £10K...based purely on account conduct. No external search has been/will be made.

Have you checked your offers? You may have a similar offer. (click on "apply for: credit card" to see).

Cheers, I didn't realise that I had to transfer £100 to them. That's a real pain because I my current credit card is an HSBC one. I think my best bet will be to get a better 0% deal somewhere else.

They also count M&S Money as a card within the same group, which surprised me.
