Prudential Savings Plan

I have been saving £10 / month with the Prue since starting work in 1986. A recent valuation on this policy came in the region of 8K. I have withdrawn 4K for house renovations but wonder should I leave the remaining 4K where it is and continue monthly payments or would this money increase better somewhere else?
I also save regularly into an ISA ... I do not need instant access to this 4K. Anybody have any ideas on how I can make this little lump sum work any harder?
