vista showing A drive

New computer :j

Running vista , but first machine without an 'A' drive installed.
( can remember 'B' drives :rolleyes: )

But when bringing up computer view shows all drives ( have also a card reader)

But the first icon is an 'A' drive
How to remove it ????

Are you sure there's not a floppy drive? :P
Certainly an odd problem, the card reader drives should be e-h (Assuming its got 4 of them), a and b are supposed to be reserved for floppy drives, so windows wouldn't give a: to a card reader or anything, and I don't know why it would say you have one when you don't.

Go into the Control panel, system, hardware tab, device manager (Using the classic control panel view, not a clue how to get there with the fancy looking one).
Once there, does it mention 'floppy disc drives'? If so, and you are certain that there's no hidden floppy drive for whatever reason, you could probable right click it and uninstall the driver, which should remove it from my computer.
