hello
I was recording CCTV footage on my computer via WM player and with had a power cut.
I can't open the file no more. The reason probably being it hadn't finished recording. Is there anyway of fixing this?
Thanks

The file will be corrupt, but often you can repair a broken avi.
Open the file in virtualdub and when it asks if you want to reconstruct the headers, say yes. It'll take a while but should recover the video up to a few secnds before the power cut.
Then buy a UPS.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

I downloades VirtualDub-1.8.4 and opened the application, then I went to open and selected the avi file. It came up with unsupported and not valid0 -
