how do you usually buy / budget for your childrens clothes?

I'm another buy when they need it for my 3 sons, but although they are all teenagers, they are all 6ft+ so it's been a long time since I bought "children's" clothes for them.
I struggled to get school trousers for my youngest who is 14 but 6ft 4 now and a 37.5 inch inside leg! (He is bigger than this two older brothers and started wearing men's sized clothes at about age 10, not because he was fat, just because of his height).
I ended up in Slaters menswear and his school trousers were £22 a pair and they will adjust them for him. Expensive, but such a novelty to get trousers to fit him in length. If only they did jeans and such like too in the longer lengths.0 -
I put by £30 a month for my little boy (18mths) and that is spent on whatever he needs (clothes, shoes, a few toys). I buy most of his stuff from Sainsburys (staff discount) or Tesco, but I am lucky that MiL buys a lot too, and she is a charity shop fiend! Clarks for shoes, which is expensive, but his feet grow so quickly, I feel happier getting them measured every few weeks. Very rare that he wears Next clothes, only if they are gifted to him..... which reminds me, must get that stuff out the loft and onto eBay!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0
