Got specific dates and an open mind - where to start?!

Hi folks
Myself and my girlfriend are intending a break, 5-7 nights away starting Sept 8th or 9th. We have an open mind as to where but we prefer it to be warm if possible!
Budget of around £500 (thats just for flights and accomodation - we have seperate spending money).
Where to go is the question and where to get the best deal. Am going to follow martins article advice and try teletext later but just wondered if any other suggestions?

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.
