Take a picture of her wearing them then go into Specsavers and also look online and see if they have anything the same.

    No, I'm not kidding!

£300 for a pair of glasses, plus insurance in case they get broken at that price!!

Why not go halves on LASIK surgery for her - then she won't need glasses for a long time? :p

She won't want look-a-likes, actually I don't blame her. Its horrible being a 4-eyed git (I am too) & to find glasses you actually want to wear:j

I have mentioned the surgery to her, if I was her age I would do it.
  • If your daughter eyes are still changing, surgery might be a bit pointless untill her prescription has stabalised.

Peoples' prescriptions have usually stabilised by the age of 21 when the eye has completed its normal growth. However, we can treat from the age of 18, provided that the eyesight prescription has been stable for a minimum of 2 years. There is no upper age limit. However, please see the information about cataracts.

    mine stablilised at 25
i have a staggering bad perscription and no-one currently in the uk can guarentee to get my eyes back to 'normal' so surgery isn't an option.

i guess i'd love to spend £400 every couple of years but i simply can't - frames over £100 are just out.... i think you can be comfortable without requiring anything that is ridiculously expensive - i personally hate anyone being able to see the brand of my glasses, it's just something i don't like! own brand is therefore right up my street!

  • Im 25 and mine are still changing:mad:
I would love surgery but it wouldnt be very money saving if I had to have it done again in a few years!
I would love tiffany specs but I dont think I could part with the money, I get mine from specsavers, usually the 2 4 1 on the branded specs, with lenses they cost around £150ish.
