Credit card application (urgent help if possible!)

Hi,

I'll just make this short! I've made an application for a credit card. They ask if you've got other credit cards- credit limit balance etc. I put down that i've got one other and wrote down the balance, credit limit for it. After submitting the application it occured to me that the credit card was actually taken out in my husbands name and I was just an additional card holder! Shall i leave things as they are or should I contact the credit card company to clear things up- if this is really that significant!

Thanks!!!!

OK, personally I wouldn't worry about it, others may disagree.

Having an existing Credit Card isn't usually a bad thing when applying for new cards (as long it is not from the same provider). It shows that you have experience in dealing with Credit Card debt.

If they did query it, then I would just explain to them that you had forgotten that you were the Secondary card holder just as you have done in your post. Perfectly plausible reason IMO.

The question is, does your husband know and is he happy with this?
I wonder why it is, that young men are always cautioned against bad girls. Anyone can handle a bad girl. It's the good girls men should be warned against.-David Niven

Why is this relevant ? The OP is not actually doing anything with the Card, they just put down on another application that they held it, if its queried then they can just explain that they are the Secondary cardholder.

I'm not quite sure what you are getting at

Info' which cannot be verified by checking your credit files will probably be disregarded anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it.

As you know, a credit card cannot be held jointly. If your husband is the principal card holder, he alone has sole responsibility for that account. The fact that you happen to have an additional card on a couple of his accounts will neither help nor hinder you with this new credit application.

    Very best
