Nokia 6630 PC Connect Problems.

Hi,

I know it's along shot, but:

I've been developing a game for this phone and it's been going along quite well; apart from the fact that every now and then I will upload the game to the phone (rather than using the emulator - good as it may be, it doesn't accurately show the 'real' performance that I would get on the phone).

Some times it works fine and I can plug the phone back into the computer and it recognises it fine.

The last time I unplugged it though, it hasn't recognised it since. I have not installed any new software or hardware. I simply unplugged the phone from the USB cable, showed my GF the progress I was making and plugged it back in again. This time however, it did not recognise the phone and hasn't since.

I've reinstalled the drivers, the software that came with it (both from the phone and the Nokia website) and I have tried 2 different USB cables.

I have unplugged and re-plugged into every USB port on the machine and still - nothing at all - it's just as if I haven't plugged it in at all - not even 'new device found'.

Is this a known problem? I have emailed Nokia, but have had no reply (of course!).

It's such a shame, as I am about half way through the game I am writing (it's a Hypersports clone for you 80's fans btw!!), but if I have no way of getting the finished product to the phone, then there really is no point continuing.

Alternatively, would any bluetooth usb dongle (from ebay for eg) work with this device - I know it supports bluetooth and so does the PC Connect software - does it need a specific dongle or will any one do?
