Help me find letterbox that fits!

We have a pvc front door (which is in perfect condition) and the outer opening of the letterbox has fallen off. We can't re-attach it - can't find the right kind of spring parts/screws to put it back on. The inner part of the letterbox is perfect and we have no draft. My dad has been trawling the diy shops for a replacement but they are all the wrong size. So we need a new brass coloured outerplate 31cm x 5 cm - any ideas? The previous owners put the front door in so we have no idea what company to contact for a replacement part.

What about your local builders merchants? Ours seems to come up with all sorts of stange sized things.

The letterbox assembly that is normally fitted to PVC doors is sleeved & a new unit will include the inside part as well as the outside.
You should be able to get a new one at any PVC window company in your area as most big window company’s have a trade shop / counter.
Take your broken letterbox with you so you get the correct size.

Go to a PVC supplier like PBM etc and they will have a trade catalouge from which you will be able to order the right letterbox.
