New House Question

Hi,

Just moved into a new house and i'm unsure what to do.

We have inherited the previous occupiers gas and electric on a "deemed contract"

It seems we are on a standard tarrif (This will mean expensive I bet)

Should we swap over now? or wait a few weeks?
As I need to ring them soon to let them know the meter readings from when we moved in.

Thanks

You dont say who you are with. Try and get yourself on a capped tariff as the other supplier must be due to rise their prices soon.

Its standard practise to be with the supplier of the previous occupant, if this did not happen all property would be off supply when empty. Give the supplier the meter readings when you moved in ASAP, as that's when your billing will start.

If you want to choose another supplier then do so, your not obliged to stay with the one your with.
