Also. . . .if puss goes out at night (and has access back in again via cat-flap or window) NEVER go downstairs with bare feet in the morning - I once trod on a dead mouse:eek:

I don't think your cat will want to pee in the kitchen again - as SnowyOwl says, it'sonly out of desperation.
Not true. We have been "adopted" by three neighbourhood cats. They have been known to pee/poo in the bath if shut indoors, but this rarely happens given that they aren't our cats! However, one of them likes to come in and sleep on my housemate's bed - on Saturdays I'm usually in and housemate is out, so I'm responsible for making sure they go out before I do, etc. Last Saturday I was busy in my bedroom, so I'd left the back door open in case kitty needed to go (I'd even put food and milk outside the back door). Came out of my room after an hour or two and discovered that kitty had clearly woken up thinking "right, can't be bothered to go all the way downstairs and back", sh*t in the bath, and gone back to sleep

Used to make housemate put them out himself on Saturday mornings and will have to start laying down the law again, cos the little b*ggers always seem to do it just before I want to have a bath

Right - both threads have now been merged together. It should make interesting reading trying to keep track of who is talking to who about what :)
Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. • Mr HQ once told our cat off and it rewarded him with a poo perfectly placed on his side of the duvet, obviously i couldn't use my side either, but it was the thought that counts!
Mr HQ left the discipline to me and the cat didn't repeat the message!
  • Hi,

Sorry if someone has mentioned this before ( got a bit lost reading all replies so far) but what matierial is the worktop made of? Only asking because if it is natural stone or composite with polish the surface can be severely damage if you use bleach or any product with acid (vinegar??).

Don't know if it applies to you but thought I'd mention it.
