Really? Well I was told by somebody from the college that I would be ineligable. I will definately try it out though I did work it out months ago that based on our income I'd get £10 but it'd definately help for busfare each week.
Thank you very much.August Earnings
Slice The Pie £12.00/£50.00

Long shot but could you try writing to the bus company as it is age descrimination as a student is a student regardless of age surely? TRy the top man if you can find him0

As long as you're doing the course full time and you don't have another level 3 qualification tucked up your sleeve(BTEC National/NVQ3 etc) you will be eligible for ALG,although it will be assessed on your household income. In addition, some colleges have fees waived for Access courses under something called the Level 3 Entitlement, so it may be worth checking that as well. There's probably been some confusion as you have AS levels, rather than the full A levels (A2s).
I used to be a Careers Advisor in an FE College, so I'm pretty reliable on this sort of stuff. (Although nobody's 100%!) Let me know how you get on.0 -
If it's only three miles, why not get a bike? You can get a bike off Freecycle, or for cheap second hand, and it'd only take 20 minutes tops to cycle that far.0
