0800 free call from skype

Hi.
If you have no house phone and only a mobile... most of the time you get charged to ring 0800 freephone numbers from your mobile.

However, if you use skype available from skype.com 0800 numbers are free to call

the boring bit..........

My dog ate both my house phone power leads.. luckily they run at 12v so no big electric shock and death!

I needed to ring my bank and some other 0800 numbers. No credit on my mobile..... dog ate my house phones... cant be bothered to go to the phonebox..... YE-HA for skype... 0800 numbers are free and i dont need to get outa bed.

I got freephone numbers for both my banks off saynoto0870- could work for you??!

but surely if youve got skype youve got broadband, if youve got broadband youve got a landline - even if you dont use it.

Virgin/NTL broadband is VIA cable - no landline needed

3 mobile also has skype for free.

Good post, especially as virgin (not sure about other providers?) charge to call 0800's, 0870's etc
~ I get free national calls all day but the 08's are not included !

I'm on 3 & think I get free skype calls included in my tariff so if it's free to call 0800's etc via skype then it's good to know !
