Kitty is an absolute darling, a really affectionate, really cheeky little monkey. And very tolerant of the kids chasing her round the house constantly! Can't wait until she's had her jabs and is old enough to go outside though, I'd forgotton how annoying litter trays are, and she's really fast at making a bolt for the door every time it opens. (image of kitten quickly using tools to fashion door bolt out of bits of scrap metal)
No chocolate today. That's just not right.
Less than a fortnight till we go on hols, so I've just posted a big list of things I need to do on the challenge-challenge thread.
We've just changed banks to the A&L to get the £150 cashback. Lots of the direct debits have already changed over to come out of the new account, but we've not changed our salaries over yet. So there are a whole load of debits to come out of an account on Monday that hasn't got any money in it...anyone know if A&L will pay them or bounce them? We get paid Monday, so it's just a case of getting the money in the right place quickly enough.0 -
Yep, I remember litter trays. Most of all as my cats got older and turned into housecats. And my beloved grey cat - she'd sit in the litter tray, but her pee would be going outside it
she tried her hardest, bless her, but it happened that way quite often :rotfl: but she was :A:A:A
A&L are good, I really like them as a bank - I have everything online, and so far its been completely smooth sailing. I just had a letter from them cancelling the credit card that came with the same deal that you're getting, because I haven't used it in 12 months, which is fine by me, I never requested it anyway - and since its mnba, eventually I'll be able to apply for another mbna card for the frills.
Enjoy the weekend sweetie :kisses3:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I think MBNA must be having a clear out - my virgin card (hadn't been used for over 12 months) is now being cancelled too!Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

I got a letter from my Virgin last week saying that they were upping the interest rate from 8.9% to 19.9%, unless I rang and told them I didn't want them to...duh.... So when I rang they said fine, 8.9%, but I'm not allowed to use the card anymore and when it's eventually paid off it gets closed. Think I was supposed to be upset at that part, but I just said 'what's the catch?'.:p
Today we removed 90% of stuff from friend's garage, only an exercise bike, rowing machine and patio heater plus a few bits of wood remaining. All the essentials we haven't been able to live without for the past few years obviously. I spent the evening ripping ivy and clematis off the side of the garage as it was totally overgrown. I'm flippin knackered now, but got a nightshift which means some quality daytime sleep tomorrow (hopefully).
Payday in exactly forty minutes! :j0 -
:rotfl:Yep, we're obviously the rubbish they're trying to get rid of. Like you, tho, I don't care! Thankfully. Maybe one day soon I *will* need to rely on a line of credit, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it... glad things have gone well over the weekend for you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Weekend? Whats one of them?
Bleurgh. 5.55am. I'm well and truly :wall:and can't wait to get to bed.
Finally got paid at 1.40am - I thought it was midnight that the money appeared in the account? I've transferred £1500 to A&L now so that should hopefully cover the bills that are due to come out of the new account, and the other half should still come out of HSBC. Suppose we'll just have to keep an eye on it.
Only one more hour until bedtime.0 -

My last evening at work for almost 3 weeks -:j:j:j. Tomorrow will be a packing and tidying day, then off early on Weds for a couple of weeks in France. I'm soooooo looking forward to getting away, there's been so much poo going down at work lately that it will be great just to forget the lot of it.
I've had a really busy week, mainly mystery shopping, but I've racked up close to £300 worth (which was a LOT of work and form filling) which will go some way to the holiday spends. Or maybe pay for a light lunch at Disney .
See y'all in a couple of weeks, when I come back with tail between legs about how much cash has been wastedbut right now, I just want to get away
