 KC, just what colour exactly IS the sky on your planet? :rotfl:

:D I was thinking of sunsets - and you're right, I was also thinking of the space-scapes you get on science fiction dramas these days! :o

    I thought as much :D

The maize maze was...erm...fun, I think, if a bit odd! Spent several hours pushing a pram over rather bumpy ground looking for 'Maisie', which turned out to be a 2 foot wooden cut-out. Ended up eating the picnic in the car because there were so many wasps! Got home with a splitting headache and spent the rest of afternoon in bed, DH went into work for me.

Coloured in another 2 squares today (DH & I did one each) as £90-odd Paypal from the baby stuff and £23 from Retail Eyes came through. The total's down to £80,206 - so close to that red square!

Just noticed the forum will be closed tomorrow, so my idea of catching up at work's out the window. I'll just have to work instead.

We didn't bath him much at all for the first few weeks, but now we bath (or I should say 'kitchen sink') him every evening. It's more of a dip than anything else and we've got that emollient stuff in the water. I totally agree with you that babies don't need as much washing as they seem to get, and I wouldn't wash Greg as much but he seems to get filthy, especially since he's been crawling and eating solids. He really enjoys it as well. The sad thing is that his skin is absolutely gorgeous on the bits that aren't red and blotchy. Must post photos - he's changed loads lately.

I had a mare personally, but that was because I got it collected from work and DHL couldn't find the address, so they failed the collection 2 days in a row. Parceltree were slightly cheaper for regular use and you can send enormous parcels for £6.50 (100x60x60cm up to 25kg I think) but Parcel2Go were good for a single delivery of slightly smaller items as it was about £7 but there's £5 Quidco on your first order. I'd recommend either - much cheaper than the PO for big stuff.

Oooh photos - yes please! I hope that Greg's skin will clear up as he gets older. Have they suggested not giving him cows milk?

I use PPWeXpress and they are pretty local to me and are fab - costs £6.95 per item up to 30kg - it is DHL that collect though so might not be good for you  - I always make a note of where I am as despite the houses being here for 5 years we still don't appear on any maps!
Now do I use Quidco for an extra fiver?

    P.S.Well done on the 'squares'.

Passwords? The work PC has already got all my passwords saved on autocomplete for all the survey & MS sites! Sadly I did actually have to do quite a bit of work again today. Not impressed...do these people not realise I've got better things to do?!

Floxxie, I might try PPWexpress next time, ta for the tip. I think it's basically just another company brokering the same DHL services but they're not a million miles from me either, and at least they've got a telephone number. Hopefully DHL will be good next time - the problem arose as I gave my work address and they got confused as they normally make deliveries for my work to the main office, 4 miles away.

Greg's skin is a billion times better from the HC cream. Hopefully it'll stay that way when we stop using it. He looks gorgeous without all the scabs and blotches (from a completely impartial perspective, obviously :p )

Oh, and just a minor thing...

    we're sub-80k!:j :j :j

Card & loan balances now £79,956.55. It's a little dubious because we paid £250 off HSBC card using our FD overdraft, after finding out today that the first £250 is 0% so thought the money would be better used elsewhere. Had great debate whether or not to count it, but as our net-debt including bank balances is even lower at £79,557 (still got a little cash in the bank) we deducted it. The first red square has been coloured.:D

Just signed up for £20 a day for the Sept challenge. Need to get the thinking cap on. Any ideas?

:j and :T for sub 80k. I can't remember whether or not that included your mortgage.

£20 a day - heck, well there's lots of footy on if you get your MB-head on!

What are the red squares for?

  • :T :j Congrats on the sub 80K:j :T

For the £20 a day challenge why not try to give 30 mins a day to loading ebay items Even if its just one or some time finding and photograhing some potential items?

With regards to bathing I am one that didnt bath the babes daily and still dont. A good daily wash is fine most of the time with a bath at least once a week. Exma (sp) is a different matter though poor Greg. Hopefully he will grow out of it most kids so. My nephew had it quite bad when he was little.
