I suppose I’d come under the category of tough, but maybe not delightful. Where I’m selling is still highly desirable for various reasons, and as we’re moving abroad we’re not in a huge hurry to move. Having said that, we obviously would want the sale to proceed smoothly on both sides.

I have a feeling that Mr Buyer would be the one to be macho and go for a last minute drop to impress Mrs Buyer. After our walk-away, I imagine Mr Buyer would then be in a very painful position.

Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

    Thanks for your views.
  • Just a little update. I phoned the EA and asked what happened to the offer on the property. She said the offer was too low. I asked what the offer was and she said she was not at liberty to disclose that information. I told her I would think about viewing as I have a lot of properties to see, my thought was that she would then tell me what the offer was, she didnt:o. Think I will use this company if I want to sell in the future:beer:
On the other hand I got a call from a different agent who said there was a house up for £162,000 and she knows the seller would accept £140,000 for quick sale (I dismissed it cos it had a substation next to it) it sold the next day.
