MS way to get a copy of my divorce certificate?

I'm planning on getting hitched again next year & can't find my divorce certificate from 2008.

What is the most MS way of getting a copy? I've come across companies on the internet that will do it for you but don't want to pay for something that I can probably do myself.

I've emailed the court that granted the divorce but have heard nothing back.

Thanks muchly!

Could you not just ring your solicitor and explain you can't find it and i dunno twist it slightly and say 'you did send it to me didn't you'?
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

Um, no I did it myself without a solicitor & wouldn't want to fib (why say twist when you meant lie?) anyway. Thanks for the reply though..

Give the court a ring - I'm sure they would at least be able to point you in the right direction :); they might take a while by e-mail.

If you go to the court and ask nicely they may just give you a sealed copy for free as they just print it from the computer and stamp it. They dont even need the file. It can't just be a photocopy it must be the one with the red court seal if you are getting remarried. Its only about £4-5 if the court want to charge you. If you cant get to the court, its better to call them to find out the exact charge. Just send them a cheque with a written request and they will send one out to you. If you were someone that was minded to tell a lie (which I can see you're not) you could just tell the court you never received it in the first place and they would send you a sealed copy for free.
