Evening All,
Today I registered for Capital Ones online service, I did this `cos I wanted to pay my credit card online. after I had logged on I went to the pay bill tab; and it asked me to register my debit card details, now here`s where my problem lies, the section has a message saying that at the moment they are unable to process cards which have 19 digits; & of course mine has. Now is this a permanant problem or does anyone know if it`s just a temporary blip
. My debit card is just a bog standard Maestro card issued by Yorkshire Bank, & is used with no problems to furnish other online payments that I make. Here`s hoping someone can help.

Hello and welcome to MSE, I did not know that we could now get 19 Digit cards, must be running out of numbers, bit like the old telephone systems, anyway a debit card payment takes just as long as a BACS (Bank transfer) so if you set up a new payee in your internet banking then you can do it that way, I do this for my Capital One Visa and it clears quicker than a Visa Debit payment.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
