Thanks JJ - have never bought from them so wanted to be sure my 1st purchase would be ok, especially Egyptian linen which I will use for years hopefully. I guess I'll be deciding tomorrow! But I am a touchy-feely kind of shopper (I'm a cancerian, apparently we do this more than most!), so will prob wander round town on Saturday..MFW #185

Afternoon everyone, managed last night to get another part of my course down and got 90% so happy about that, the ones i sent in last week haven't been marked but hopefully i'll pass.
Woke up 15 minutes late this morning and have been 15 minutes last for every appointment today:rotfl: , hubby been to tec to talk about what he wants to do and then he went to the careers office and still now he doesn't know what he wants to do. Left hen night t-shirts up to be printed so they will need lifted again on saturday. Roll on sunday so everything can go back to normal and less runing about.
Rang vet and Bo has had one operation today and it went well:j :j :j they said he seemed abit more cheerfull last night and had something to eat so went for it today. They will do the other leg tomorrow so i'm abit more relaxed that he's half way there. The vet said well he'll be here for one more night and i'm abit worried that they will let him home tomorrow  , at least if he's there and there is any problems they know what to do.
Right i better go and do something as i've been away all day.
Haven't caught up on the thread yet but will later once i've some flying to report.:rotfl:
Good news about Bo, hope tomorrow goes ok for him. He'll soon be home having lots of doggie treats and fuss.0 -
:hello:Hi to lil_me! I think webbed feet really suit you.
I remember a very wet holiday in the Lake District... It's all your own fault, keep saying that you can't cope with the heat! I hope that you have had a great holiday!
Hugs to mojt.
Hugs for poohbear as well.
Thank you all very much for the supportive remarks about DS1's exam results. I shall be passing on the comments for him to read tomorrow. He seems okay about it now, and we had another talk this afternoon. I told him again that I thought it was well worth celebrating the fact that he passed the AS level, as it is the first exam that he has passed since he was ill. I also suggested saying to anyone who asks him how he did, 'I'm really pleased that I got my ICT AS', and leave it at that. So, he is off in town with all the others!
Next week is DD's GCSE results... I'll keep you posted!
I did the bathroom to Level three, and then went out to look at curtain material and poles. Advice needed here. There is a French window, and I have bought a pole for that. There are also two small windows, which only measure 2ft across (so I usually make curtains that extend 6 inches either side, so 3ft across). The smallest pole is 6ft. So, do I buy a matching pole, and cut it in half, and try and buy extra finials and rings? The finials are quite large, which would be fine on the big window, but I'm doubtful on the small windows. Would it be better to try and find a slightly different pole, maybe with smaller finials? I did find one in Dunelm Mill, but I think the actual pole was a smaller circumference, and that would definitely look odd.
Now you understand why I haven't got around to replacing the curtains since I decorated 18 months ago...

Need to think about making a list for next week, packing etc for disney then another list for OH to bring in the car to go camping.
Serena, are the other 2 windows either side of the french ones, as if so it wont matter if the poles are smaller as it will be balanced by the fact the windows are smaller and if symettrical definitely not a problem. For small windows I've know people buy wooden finials and put on the end of broom handles (very MSE :T )
