Morning everyone!!
Just received an email that I thought you would like????!!!! It had super graphics with it but I havent been able to transfer them - sorry!!
LADIES!!!!!!!!!
Remember...a layer of dust protects the Wood beneath it.
'A house becomes a home when you can write 'I love you' on the furniture.'
I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just
perfect - 'in case someone came over'
Finally I realized one day that no-one came over; they were all out living life and
having fun!
NOW, when people visit, I don't have to explain the 'condition' of my home .
They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I
was away living life and having fun.
If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice.
Life is short. Enjoy it!
Dust if you must .......
but wouldn't it be better to paint a picture or write a letter,
bake cookies or a cakeand lick the spoon or plant a seed,
ponder the difference between want and need?!
Dust if you must,but there's not much time . . . .
with beer to drink , rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must,
but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes,
the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around, again.
Dust if you must,
but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. . .
And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust!
Share this with all the wonderful women in your life.
I JUST DID.
It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you
have lived.
TF xx:DPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last

embb - :jCongratulations Grandma, and even bigger congratulations to mum.:j
ssl - Congratulations to your DD!:T
vanilla - happy to hear better news.
:hello:To AnW's mum!! Glad you had a lovely holiday! We got back Saturday, and I've just about caught up with emails, almost done all the washing, and haven't managed at all to read the last two week's threads - my word, flyladies know how to talk! Scroll back a few pages to see embb's new granddaughter!!
Okay, now I really have to go get some work done... Yesterday I did the livingroom, hall and stairs, and decided I really had to get rid of an horrendous clutter hotspot in the kitchen, which I could only face doing in five minute slots while waiting for kettles to boil, coffeee to brew. I'll carry on with that the rest of the week, and get the children to sort through last year's school stuff and clear it from the shelves.
rebekah - hugs - some days are just like that! I hope today goes better.Celebrate your successes, and don't play catch up - the rooms will come round again next week.
If some flyladies seem to be doing an awful lot of their list, well, some of us have been doing this for a while and just got better at it! I found for me that the key was decluttering so that I could clean without having to tidy, and also having the right sort of storage for the things that we want to keep - I'm not done yet, but I'm definitely getting there! The kitchen is pretty much okay for storage, and it takes me just about half an hour to do to level three (except for cleaning the oven - can't face doing that too often!). The main bedroom was an absolute dumping ground, and it took me a whole year of doing an hour every week, to clear it for decorating, and fitting a wardrobe. It's just got a few finishing touches eg, bedside chest of drawers and a chair to buy now. The house was so cluttered, that it took me quite a while to think through how to sort it out - I finally came up with having a clear idea of what each room was for, what needed to be in it, and what to keep those things in. It isn't original I know, or very clever, but it works for me. So, for example, the main bedroom is for sleeping, dressing etc, but not for storing sleeping bags, outgrown children's clothes and toys, or files of important documents. Once they were out, I have been really strict with myself about not dumping them back in again! And because it is clear, it takes me under half an hour to clean (well, it will if I ever get up there today and do it!!)It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
