Toots.. some people just don't take well to motherhood.. my mother hated it! My mother tells everyone my hiouse is a mess and it is positively palacial compared to hers.. it is gross!! Her cooker is cleaner than mine.. but it is so messy and there is literally a corridor through the house!! She stripped a room to decorate it and it still isn't done.. 8 YEARS later!!! We being better people do not tell eveyrone.. just smile and bear it! and pummel the pillow later!

  • Well Toots, I think the mother/daughter relationship is incredibly complex. My mother is helpful but I can't say we're close. Be interesting to do a poll on here and find out everyones' take on the subject. They do say that despising your mother is a healthy and necessary stage to go through as you become an adult!!! Mmm can't wait for that with my two girls!

Damn and blast, I need to buy another hoover, mine packed up today and it took me ages to hoover through. Saw some going cheap on price drop tv, wish I'd got one now! Who was it on here who recommended them - pd tv?

Good luck to all you Northern Irish - what's up with the summer this year?

Right I've got my bread pudding in the oven - how do I know when it's done? The recipe said 1.25 hours but I've doubled the quantities.

Hello all you [STRIKE]mad[/STRIKE] lovely people....

Now I'm new to all this "flying" lark, and whilst I do keep a really tidy house I really do need some routine to how I go about it rather than a "oh my god look at the state of it, I must clean the entire thing in one day" sort of thing I do currently.

So if I may - I'd like to join....although can someone please explain the HHI and HHC thingies I've seen mentioned?

:T Keep up the good work

    Hi Pooky

    HHI is Half Hour Ironing

HHC is Half Hour Challenge/Cleaning - spend half and hour doing as much as possible and report back!

Pigpen explains most things on the the first post.
