Mudbath - have you any advice on getting children to 'clean and tidy' their rooms. My DS would do anything rather than tidy his room!!

    Dear FLY Olympians,

Today we are going to run a few sprints to see how fast we can do
    some of those daily races.

Your first sprint is to make your bed. Set your timer for 5 minutes.
I know it will not take that long. But it is fun to know just how
long it really does take you!

If your bed is already made then do this one tomorrow morning. I am
so proud of you for making your bed before getting on your computer.

Get on your Mark, Get Set, Ready, GO!!!!

Yip, if they don't do it I go in and start filling a bin bag for the charity shop. The first time I did it they didn't believe me until I hid the bag and said i'd taken it. After a few hours I gave them their stuff back and since then I just have to crinkle a bin bag. :rotfl: . They also have to pick up their age in stuff off the floor every bed time....so dd has to pick up 9 things and dd 7 things. Little and often and it never gets to bad. Mind you, they've suggested we do the same with DH's study as he is truly messy!!!! Maybe we should! Good luck xx

Rebekah I'm aiming to completely make my bed with fresh sheets - will see how long that one takes me - I hate putting the duvet cover on, and usually get OH to do it.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Freezer wiped out and dried out and back on! Hurrah!

I have kept the drawer out so that I can put stuff back in, from the freezer bag, when it's cold enough!

Freezer bag outside, in shade & blanketed, so the food should be fine.

After I have had my roast dinner (using up a joint from freezer) I will clean the kitchen and dining area.

I have flung so much stuff this fortnight I cannot belive it! I am a ruthless flinger! (Unlike Mudbath who's a broken finger LOL) and have just thrown the very expensive, but not succesful walkie talkies having removed the batteries for recycling.
