Ok so I had a voucher which was due to expire, I bought a return trip to NYC from London out on the 24th back on the 8th January.
However, I might want to change the date , and possibly the destination as I do not know what plans my friends have.
There is one issue before all this, they miss pelt my middle name on the e ticket - missing out one letter. So should i call them and tell them this? How about the charges to change the date and possibly the destination?

just wondering as I get this a lot at work, people complaining about names mispelt but they have done it themselves online. I wouldnt worry too much you dont need a middle name on there anyways, correct first name and surname thoughm but just ring them and ask all the questions for the quickest answer specific to your class of ticket, it all depends on the class as to if you can change dates etc

its normal economy class and my friend did it over phone, do u think i can change destination too?

i didnt wana go to nyc i booked it on the night the voucher was going to expire to buy me time!

I was traveling with a passport in the wrong name (one letter wrong) for a few years... never had an issue with any of my flights (min of 3 return flights a year).......

I only changed after a flight to the US after Sept 11..... anyway i would just phone them and let them know... should not be an issue

How can any of us answer your question when no-one (including yourself) knows what class of ticket you have?

As said above it depends on the class of ticket.

However the normal AA procedure is to charge a $100 change fee plus any difference in the fare ticket price.

For instance if you have a ticket for, say, £300 in February and a you want to change to August where a ticket costs £700 you will pay an extra £400 plus the change fee. Same for a change in destination.

However a call to AA will reveal all.
