Car hire deposit: Can I split onto 2 cards ?

Hi all

Basically its as I said in the title, I need to pay a deposit of £750 for my car hire when I arrive (which will be refunded if nothing happens - touch wood ).

Does anyone know if I can split this onto 2 cards (Both in my name - main driver - limit of £500 on each card)

can you not take the money out in cash beforehand?
if not many of these places can do this as you will pay by card into a chip and pin hand held device.
ring the company and ask. easiest thing to do

Don't see why not, some car rental firms actually insist that you supply two cards if you are hiring an upmarket car.
