screen display

Hi

When I am viewing web pages, the full page is not displayed on the full screen so I have to scroll across to see the right hand side of the page.

Does anyone know how to alter this so it reads full page?

Thanks in advance

Top right hand corner of your screen are 3 squares, the left hand one ( _ ) minimises the screen to your task bar, the centre one will either make it full screen or smaller,(you can make it to your own size in this position by holding cursor at edges until it changes to double headed arrow, then drag to size, right hand one ( X ) shuts down the page.

    Thanks Derrick

Even maximising the page does not sort it out. I still can't see the right hand side - there is a scroll bar at the bottom of the page which I have to use. This doesn;t happen on work computer - could it be size of monitor?

You don't say what browser you are using, but whatever, there should be something similar to what I have in IE7.

Look for the Page icon (near top-right of screen), click on that and then look for the Zoom function. Play with different Zoom settings to see if that allows you to see the whole screen at once.

You may need to create a Custom zoom setting to fit your particular screen.

What size is your monitor and what resolution are you running it at?

Have you tried clicking on view at the top left of the screen in IE.

Scroll down to text size and in the new box tick Medium.

Right click on an empty space on the desktop, select properties, then click the "settings" tab.

Here, you should be able to slide the screen resolution to a higher setting. (If you can't, you might need to update your graphics card drivers. )

If the monitor is a CRT, there shouldn't be any problem with any of the settings, so just choose one you're comfortable with, but 1024 by 768 is what most web sites work best with these days.

You'll also notice text gets smaller...

  • Hi,

you could try Ctrl and - (minus) keys, to get a size to fit your screen, though this also reduces the text size, to increase Ctrl + (plus).
