Car insurance quotes on comparision sites

I have been trying to get quotes for my car insurance from comparision sites this morning. I would like to add my husband as an additional driver on my policy. One of the questions that the site asks is about his job, he is a taxi driver (he has another car which he uses for his job and has taxi insurance on that) but there is no option for his job. There are lots of other options such as bus driver, train driver, hire car driver, etc. But no option for taxi driver and i have to choose one of the options, i can't type in anything else besides the options given. I have always got my car insurance by phoning up companies but this time i thought i would do it via the internet to see how much i could save. Please someone help, as i am totally stuck on this one question and i obviously can't continue without giving an answer.
Thankyou.
Thankyou.

Did it have option for professional driver?0

If he is a private hire driver, I'd be tempted to put hire car driver in there for the time being and see what happens when you get to the insurers website. i.e. they may have different options.0

No there is no option for professional driver, andyd55.
Thankyou for that suggestion, moredough, i might just do that although he is not private hire, he drives one of those minicabs - hackney carriages i think they are called.0 -

If i was you i would phone company and ask what you should put because if you do it wrong and at some point need to claim they could use that for not paying outIf you dont like me remember its mind over matter, I dont mind and you dont matter

in order to order to see what the likely differences are, I would put "hire car" for the comparison websites, then as people said, phone the relevant insurer up and take out policy over the phoneIndecision is the key to flexibility
