Open it up and check that the cables to its hard drive are plugged fully in (at each end).

Check also that its RAM modules are fully pressed home in their seating.

    This will cost you nothing.

  • Any lights on the front when its on?

The lights can indicate what maybe wrong?

When you say fans - I assume you mean PSU, if so, it could well its failed.

Can Dell, they are usually pretty good with do a warranty repair.

The lamp in the mains button glows yellow then blue when the 530 starts up.
There is normally a short period when the fans blow loudly.
When it failed did you get any loud clicks as this may indicate HDD problems.
Dell occasionally have urgent upgrades for their PC's it may be worth checking if any are available.

Take the case off , and clean all the visible fans (cpu / graphics card / case fan) with a fine paintbrush. Dust can stop the fans rotating, and some systems will auto-shutdown without rotating fans.

Click on your Dell Support Center icon, looks like a spanner in the system tray.
Then click on alerts, if there are any upgrades it should tell you.

If for some reason you haven't got it here is the download link:
