Thanks derrick. So you don't have to make a call with the mobile then? You just have to register a mobile phone number with them? Seems a strange way of operating!

    First part correct.
Second part, you do NOT need to register with a mobile to open the acc.

    See this thread.

That's the bit I was missing...probably because I haven't been able to run the demo. Kept getting an error...

"You've used an incorrect page to launch the simulation.

Please use the correct page to launch the simulation."

    ...so gave up on it!

I have got an Isaver account ("jar") in my plan and there is an "interest" option you can click on to switch between Monthly or Annual payment.

Does this mean that you can switch between monthly or annually at any time, even after the account is set up?

What is the logic behind the "jars" in relation to the isaver account? If there are no restrictions on withdrawals, is there any benefit in breaking the cash up into separate jars?

Also - is there a maximum you can withdraw online per day?

I did on or around 22nd July, received letter, dated 25th July thanking me for opening another product to my IF plan..

Signed the "Confirmation of Application Details" form and returned with a cheque for opening deposit on 29th July.

Received a statement dated 1st August thanking me for the initial deposit and showing it as being placed in my new "jar" and mentioning that the IF isaver is an "online jar", and "To carry out transfers to and from the jar or change any details you should log on to our website at if.com"

That is correct, you need a cheque from your personal account,(nominated acc), then when it is set up you can transfer as you say.

The cheque can be from you IF current acc, as was mine.

See the link in my post #12 above for some more info.
