I think this is £40 of free money via quidco

following the "post office grabbit" (thanks for that, over £100 richer!) i have just spent 10 minutes on quidco looking for similar stuff.

One that stood out was for Payday loans. I've had a look at their website and pay day loans offer short term loans and basically if you have a pulse then you're accepted.

Their apr is ridiculous (1800% ish ) but as they are only short term loans you're not going to have a problem.

ok, you need to go through quidco and borrow the minimum amount from them (i think it's £80)... you pay back £100 in a couple of weeks time. BUT! you get £60 cashback from quidco and payment time is quick. So, £40 for nothing.

am i missing something with this one? or is it as easy as it looks? you pay £20 you get £60. that's a tank of petrol for free!

Fine in theory... and some people have had the cashback payout (search for Quidco payday).. however if the cashback doesn't track you end up down, and the application involves credit checks (obviously depends on your situation... I've made a lot of applications recently for stoozing purposes so would probably be turned down.)

If the hassle and risk are worth it for you.. go for it!

This worked for me when I did it last month. Got 70 back via Quidco after taking out loan. No problems at all and no credit checks however they do continue to keep in touch with you afterwards offering you the opportunity to borrow more money so it would be really easy to get into debt with these people. They also have your bank details!!!!

  • Worked fine for me. Got £80 end of June and paid back £100 in July. £70 cash back tracked , validated and paid at the beginning of August.

Cant say the same for the rest of my validated items though

Edit to say that yes I do get texts and emails once in a while offering more. I just ignore.

My OH got her cashback from payday loans.

Just use a free simcard and a junk email account if you dont want to be bothered by them afterwards.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
  • I did this when it was first brought up on here and mine didn't track, I've done an earnings enquiry with quidco but obviously not holding my breath for the cashback. So yes a great deal when it goes through ok but there is always the chance that it won't!

Do you credit score my application?

No, we don't currently credit score your application.

I have a bad credit history - will this affect my loan application?

Not necessarily. We look at each application based on your recent circumstances.
