Condition 3.2 of your agreement says they "may" do.
I'd therefore read that as a yes, they will do!0 -
i would ring them and find out - when i went over i had to pay a £12 fee though i was already out of my 0% deal - give them a bell - its the only way to know
put on a nice voice and say its the first time u did it and it was an accident etc. they might let you off... i did that with a late payment once, genuinely forgot and they cancelled the £28 charge as a gesture of goodwill. not bad for 2 mins on the phone

hmmm not happy bunny, they have cancelled our 0%, we explained we have had cards with them for yrs and that this is the 1st time this has ever happened but no..
so where do we go from here? our balance on the halifax is £9050 I have £4600 I can pay off now with my balance transfer from new mbna 0% card
that will leave the following:
Halifax £3450 on 15.9%
Mbna £9000
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
as im writing hubby has rung back up and I told him to tell them we will clear the card immediately (bit of a fib) and then we will be someone elses good customer... halifax said okay, will charge interest just this one month for being naughty lol then put us back on the deal until feb
thank god.0 -

Well done on getting it sorted.
A couple of years ago I would have said that for a "first offence" if you speak nicely to them, you were almost guaranteed to get them to reverse the decision and put you back on 0%. However, with the current economic climate they are getting much stricter and there are more and more reports of people not being able to get such decisions reversed.
Glad it worked out this time.0 -
Me too hip hip horray!!!0
