Check the co-ax that goes from RF2 to the TV upstairs is made good.

Make sure there are no breaks.

Make sure the outside braiding is not touching the inner core.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

I would get the aerial man back to sort it out for you, if you don't understand the clear instructions given by BexTech.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Probably shouldn't have got a washing powder salesman to wire it up.:rotfl:

OP should check if the red led on the magic eye's connector is lit.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

I almost made the same comment, but refrained... :rotfl:

Yes, check the redlight on the magic eye, if that isn't glowing red, then no chance of it working.

don't want to state the obvious, but are you sure it's working when you plug it directly into the Sky box, as if your in the same room as the SkyBox, the remote would change channels etc whether or not the magic eye is connected.

    1) Make sure the aerial going from your Sky box to your other TV is connected to RF2, magic eye wont work on the other aerial socket.

    2) Press the following on your Sky Remote

Services, 401, Select (don't worry what comes up on the screen as you do this, this gets you into a hidden menu)

    Then press 4 (RF Outlets)

Make sure RF Power supply is set to ON.

If it's set to off, change it to ON, then move down to "save new settings" and press select

If it was set to off, this is what's causing you your problem. If it's set to on and your using RF2, then it must be a problem with your cable between your Skybox and your other TV

    Edit:
Another thought, you say the aerial is distributed to another room as well. What I would advise is to run one aerial cable from RF2 to your TV where you want to use the magic eye.

Use the other RF output to supply any other TV's you may be using. If your splitting the cable from RF2 either by using a Y connector or with a signal booster/distribution box, this could well be what's causing your problem.

How are you splitting the cable?

You need to make sure the co-ax wire you are using is sound, you need to make sure the outer braiding (and the metallic shield) is not touching the inner core.

    See: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f4/Coaxial_cable_cutaway.svg

If using an amp to split the signal, many don't work with the TV Link.
