I have a dlink wireless router that until a few months ago allowed me to use my work laptop wirelessly perfectly well, then my work upgraded our broadband and I was sent a new modem, since this was installed I can no longer get onto the internet wirelessly, they have told me that I will need to reconfigure the wireless router to it but they don't support wireless so won't offer me any help
I have googled my router to get the set up instructions (it is a dlink DL 524) and have followed those to the letter but I still cannot get internet access wirelessly
can anyone help?

Have you enabled SSID broadcast on the router setting?0

PASS! you have completely lost me now! but I do remember the instructions we printed off google mentioning to enable this on the wizard on my laptop but didn't say anything about this on the actual router, there is nothing on the router itself to enable, just to switch it on and plug the patch lead inAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

You'll need to log in to the router to access all the settings, then you'll be able to check if SSID is being broadcast.
Also, sorry if you've got this covered, but did you actually input your broadband log in username/password within the router settings?
Usually, logging in to the router for set up involves typing 192.168.01 or 192.168.1.1 into a broswer address bar, hitting enter, and inputting an access username/password. In should be covered in the manual.Russia is HERE0 -
ah yes I did log into the router using the default address the instructions stated, although I may have made a mistake with my access username and password for the broadband, I don't know these, how do I find them out?Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
