Do you get an error message on screen: I looked my error code up in Google for my Sony and found some useful tips, that meant I didn't have to send it away.
The fix for mine, was to remove the battery and bang the camera hard, very hard - apparently they're very susceptible to getting dirt on sensors, which causes errors like this...
The quote for fixing it was more than a new camera, so I thought, nothing to lose really?A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0 -

Hi,
The camera shop (that repair all models of camcorder) that was recommended to me was Newton & Ellis in Liverpool; http://www.newtonellis.co.uk/; It only cost about £15 to post the camera SD, which was cheaper than any car journey to the nearest repairer...
When I realised it was possible I was not going to get the camera working; I used this firm - http://www.transfervideo.com/ - and they transferred my tapes to DVD. Quite reasonably priced too, and did an excellent job!A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0
