Storage Discount?

Hi everyone,

We have been offered a lovely quarter...NOT with no garden. Just a patio/courtyard. My daughter has an 8ft trampoline and other bits and bobs that I don't want to get rid of so we are going to put them in storage.

Do we get a discount on storage? I've never had to use it before so I'm clueless.

I believe that when you move, you have the change to store some items. I cant remember the details, but i would contact the HR Admin people at work.

I'm sure if you move into a quarter that doesnt have the space etc to take all of your belongings then you have the chance to get it stored at Public Expense, so no need for a discount.

Like has been previously mentioned contact HR and see what they say.

my OH and I have got some paperwork for storage of some of our furniture on posting. It's a DSCOM paperwork or something along that lines.

Check JSP 752, Chapter 7, section 2 for eligibility.

As far as I'm aware you can only claim for storage at public expense on an oversea's posting.

If you check with your unit HR and check JSP752 you'll have a definate answer.
