Half Price MOT with The Times Online

Hi everyone

I stumbled across this whilst reading the news online at The Times. They're offering half price MOTs (so £26.55 for the certificate instead of £53.10) during August only, with Nationwide Autocentres. Here's the link: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/driving/commercial/article4485112.ece

It just requires you to register (free) in order for you to download a voucher.
All above board, I just downloaded mine.

Every little helps!

Anyone have any negative experiences of National Autocentres? I'm aware kwikfit is often cited as making unnecessary work for themselves for cash. Rather suspicious of these national chains.

wouldn't touch it, they cannot do this without ripping you off on parts.

    impossible.

Yes, noise diagnosed as failed diff turned out to be bonnet prop banging against bonnet!
  • Yes overcharged substantially (30%) for brake pads and discs. But did get the extra back via their price guarantee scheme, had to be very assertive and speak to their area manager to get the money back.

On the positive side work was fine.

You can also use Tesco clubcard vouchers to pay for MOT so 75% off.
