Young, fiery, punch first/think later Ray (Farrell) and the more experienced, cultured and worldly Ken (Gleeson) have only one thing in common – blasphemy. Whilst Ken laps up the chance to relax and take in the sights, party boy Ray is going stir crazy. Easily distracted by fine Belgium beer, an abundance of readily available drugs and a particularly tasty Belgian supplier, Ray’s gardening leave rapidly disintegrates into chaos – not really the definition of keeping a low profile! Things go from bad to worse their cockney boss Harry decides to take matters into his own hands, determined to make Bruges Ray’s final destination.
A truly original script with marvellous comic dialogue, unique and intense characters, IN BRUGES is film perfection as comedy and satire work hand in hand with not a shred of political correctness in sight.
