How to delete a program?

Hi, where do I go to view all my program files especially .exe files? I'm having a clean-up and I feel I might have some spyware and unwanted programs slowing down my computer.
The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.

To get rid of nasties (spyware, cookies etc) I would recommend you download these free programmes:
http://www.ccleaner.com/ -CRAP CLEANER
and
http://www.stevengould.org/software/cleanup/ - CLEANUP
They will also help you get rid of old registry keys left behind after you have uninstalled programmes.
To get rid of installed spyware try:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ - ADAWARE
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ - SPYBOT
Hijack This is also useful at allowing you to see what nasties have been installed without you realizing:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=3155&file=10&evp=3304750663b552982a8baee6434cfc13
And this will help you analyse the Hijack This results after you've saved a log file (So you know what to keep and what to delete)

Good Luck

If you're worried about spyware being installed I recommend this nifty little utility:
http://www.abtrusion.com/Downloads/
It will not allow any .exe files to run except those on a designated list. When you first install it will add all the .exe files you have to this list, but to install anything in future you have to enter "install mode". If you have XP then only Administrator logons can enter install mode, so it also stops other people installing software without your permission.0 -
Is Crap Cleaner the same as Window Washer?0
-
Yes sort of as crap cleaner doesn't bleach files, for non recovery purposes.0
-
If there's no real difference I will just stick with Window Washer then.0
