Capital One do NOT encourage vigilance with your account - here's why...

in Credit cards
A year ago they sent my replacement credit card to the wrong address hence it had to be cancelled.
I was issued with a new account number - which they say is linked to the old one.
Before this event I was able to maintain my account online and watch for any anomolies.
Now I cannot.
Why?
Because Capital One say they do not have the software and technology to allow me to access my account online.
This situation has been in place for a year now and I chased them up about it again today as they had written and told me they were working on resolving this problem.
If Capital One want customers to exercise the highest vigilance over their accounts - then perhaps they should put the means in place to enable this by restoring mine (and no doubt many others) access to their accounts online.

Why wait? Your cashback will still be there , just don't use it anymore when you get a new card.0
