How to pay mortgage by credit card

Hello, i have a Natwest offset mortgage and a 10 month interest free on purchases credit card. I want to pay the mortgage with the credit card and keep the money for the mortgage in the offset account to offset the interest on the mortgage. (And pay the minimum payment on the credit card until the interest free period ends). The problem is that Natwest say that they can't accept a credit card payment, and that credit cards are only accepted by retailers. Can anyone help? Thanks.

There has been some discussion on the stoozing forum about this.
There are some reports of people managing to pay their mortgage on a 0% Purchases card, however I think they had to push for it and basically give the impression that they had cashflow problems and this was the only way they could make the payment.
If they do accept it, don't forget to stop your Standing Order.0 -
that sounds right... I don't know of any mortgage companies that accept payment by credit card
why not simply use the card for ordinary day to day spending ... not as good but better than nothing.0 -

But if you could, would you like to make a payment to yr mortgage acct for the maxmium of yr credit limit in one go? (This was not treated as a cash advance)
Ps this was carried out with a 0% 12 months credit card! :T0 -

Well on that thread, 2 posters claim to have made mortgage payments by credit card. Namely "tightbloke" and "chiefgoobster". I assume you are one of these posters.
Perhaps you could explain where the miss-information is. Thanks0
