hi can you tell me if the ps1 and ps2 are in any way compatible. as in games or controllers and memory cards? or are they completely different?
i have a ps1 and want to get a ps2 but dont know if any of the old stuff will work on the new machine.

Yes totally compatible, go for it.except memory cards

Controllers are..
however PS1 memory cards can read and write for PS1 games ONLY. Can't make PS2 saves onto a PS1 memory card, and vice versa.0 -
