why did people get called doom-mongers yet its all come true

Certain sites and people were warning two years ago that this storm was coming and the results were going to be nasty and here we are today and lots of people even now are just waking up to the fact that we are in the pooh-pooh and its going to get messy.

so when i realized last aug that it would be absolutely financial suicide for me to pay 250k cash for a house and held off buying did not others as they had the same information available to them....so here is a quick thank you to the doom mongers..... long may you doom.:rotfl:
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

For the reasons I explained here:
    6. An existing paradigm is seldom dispelled by evidence alone. As Keith Thomas has written, "Such systems of belief possess a resilience which makes them virtually immune to external argument." A people whose culture grossly misinterprets certain facts will not necessarily reason their way to a more encompassing worldview until forced to do so by the brunt of economic necessity or military defeat. Reason does not alter values.

    2 years ago??!?!!?

People been telling me for 6 years.

    How wrong they were..

If someone says a house price crash will happen, they will, eventually be right...It's about timing

    Mewbie, I agree it's time.

It matters for people in different circumtances.

I'll admit, I have sold up, and maybe 6 months too late, but I am an investor.

For regular house owners, it;s a different story.
