I was just about to open a savings a/c with KE when I noticed that they didn't do joint accounts.
Is this usual - I want to deposit joint savings into their fixed rate bond so now I will have to trawl around looking for somewhere else.
All our money is in joint names - are sole accounts a new trend?

Here's the responce i got from them:"I can confirm that we do offer sole, joint, company & Trust Accounts. If you do opt for a sole account and the account holder passed away, the account would be frozen awaiting 'Manx Probate' to be granted. In this event an advocate on the Isle of Man would need to be contacted by the executors to gain 'Manx Probate' and then the executors would provide instructions to us for the distribution of the estate/funds."

It varies from bank to bank - no particular trend.0 -

Joint names is OK if you both pay the same rate of tax.
As I am a non taxpayer and OH is a 40% taxpayer, all our savings are in my name.0 -
I also opened an account – but never paid in to it, for the same reason as you lolly5648 (No Joint Accounts)Martin0
