Hi char22. I've done it 2 or 3 times and have had no problems. I just rang them up each time and gave them my new details and had no break in payments.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)
Debt free success date: 14.8.2006 :j0 -
excellent , thanks for your help :beer:0

Hey just to advise you before you do it, you need the old (ie. current) details to change to the new bank details. So have both to hand. There typically won't be any problems with bank detail changeover, although can take a bit of time to do in some cases, meaning payments could still go to old account for a while....but even then, even if old account is closed, then that bank would send it back, and it would be reprofiled to the new account. Any major problems you would still be sent manual giro cheques.0

Just wondering why you can change your child benefit bank details on line but not tax credits? Very unhelpful!0
