My 2 year old olympus mju 700 has broken, the lens cover won't open and the zoom is stuck.
Is this reparable or is it doomed?

I like this wee camera it's easy to use and I just bought a repalcement battery and charger for it this week!!

Can you claim off house insurance?
My camera failed earlier in the year and someone suggested to get a quote from Luton Cameras - details below from email they sent to me. My camera cost £275 but I decided to give it to one of my family as it worked but not on all the options I needed. Hope this helps but a warning that camera repairs can be dear and don't be surprised to hear a figure up to £100!!!!

    Quote from Luton Cameras: -

A more accurate estimate can be supplied after examination of the
    equipment.
Estimates are FREE, but a £7.50 charge is made for return postage.
When sending the equipment to us please pack in a strong box with plenty
of packing and use Special Delivery to insure against loss or damage in the
    post.

Please include your details: Name, Address, Telephone Number, email
    address and details of fault.

    Regards,
    Teresa Whitbread

Unaccepted estimates are subject to a £5.00 charge if return postage is
    required.

Blame that Olympus ad on the TV where he kicks the camera around the garden.
