Please help - wedding potentially ruined and legal advice needed

  • I'm not criticising or anything, but just wondering why do you talk about a UK wedding as if it will automatically be religious? You can have any kind of wedding you want in this country, especially now the law allows you to get married virtually anywhere you want. My cousin got married last year in a civil ceremony at a nice Dorset hotel - it was lovely and not at all religious. Just being picky and pointing out that marriage in this country doesn't necessarily mean a church and that every wedding is unique, at least to the couple...

I hope you manage to get some kind of compensation/deal with Solitair and that you will enjoy your wedding, despite this debacle.

    Hi tigerangel,

No that's fine, of course you don't have to have a religious wedding but seeing as we didn't want one, what I meant was that there was nothing tying us to this country, iyswim. As I say, nothing at all against religious ceremonies as obviously this is the right choice for a lot of people, but just not for us.

Been trying to get in touch with CAB all week but they are constantly engaged, so fingers crossed we can get through this week...
  • Hey there,

I was at a Dinner party on Friday and one couple had stayed at this Ice Hotel. They said IT WAS AMAZING. So I hope you have a really lovely time.

Little piece of advice that they did say, that when they actually stayed in the Ice Hotel they should have put their clothes inside the special sleeping bags (by their feet), as they had left them out and they froze!

Good Luck with all the other stuff. If it was me, I would take a big deep breath and try to leave it all behind. I bet you will get nothing but grief and a rubbish apology. It's not worth it.
