I'd suggest you could increase the clothing allowance - as £100 for 6 persons seems a bit low to me when my OR has (at the moment allowed £100 for me and my husband!).

Oh and you can have vet bills included (you just have to provide evidence).

For starters £600 on food is stupid if you dont have the money to spend it on, £200 should be what your aiming for. Theres £400 to start with. And clothing allowence??? Why buy things you cant afford? Do you need new clothes every month? I certainly dont!

Icklejulz preparing an SOA for BR is completely different from preparing an SOA for DFW. The housekeeping costs are perfectly acceptable. Once BR then the OP will not be able to get any credit so will need to play around with figures to be able to get an emergency fund etc. £600 for 6 people is acceptable.

how do you expect me to feed 2 adults and 4 kids on £200 a month? £600 is what we actually spend! and its not anything lavish

Wannabedebtfrre have you discovered the Oldstyle board yet? There are some great ideas for cutting your food bills. We are 5 and I have started this month and managed to cut it by £50. Next month I aim to cut it by another £20, small steps I know but every little helps.
