dear little pictures

I'm not very technically-minded (this may become clear). When I go onto my favourites list, sweet little pictures come up beside the titles (like a picture of Martin, for instance). But then, all of a sudden, next time they're just GONE. Why? What did I do? And then, some of them come back, but not all of them. Why not? What should I do?

I know in the scheme of things it's nothing, but it's bugging me.

They will load when you access a page, next time you clear your internet history they will be deleted then you will access the page again and they will come back.....

Favicons or Favourite Icons are what these are called.
When I was on XP I downloaded Favorg which prevented them being deleted, IE stored the favicons in a temporary file so you kept losing them.
I don't think IE 7 has that problem but am none too sure as I tend to use Firefox.

Anyway this is the link to the above utility, if its of use to you.
