Thanks folks for all your replies, I think you've swung it for me!!!!!!!!!!No reliance should be placed on the above.0

Would`nt say it`s over-priced for what you`re getting but do you really need or want it all.
About £150 cheaper than last year and probably more features.
Full page leaflet advertising it with today`s Sun.
In Aldi from 25th Nov.0 -

I know it’s not a 6800 or X800 but it’s certainly not a crippled card that most builders use at this price point.
Looks like a good deal

The only thing thats noisy is the fan on the graphics card i beleive, you can get an Artic Cooler which will eliminate most of the noise for around £20 they are easy to fit, ive got a 6800 card and it was noisy before i put on the Artic Cooler0

The pic of the TV/Modem card looks identical to the one i have in my Aldi PC there is no fan on it so i cant see why it would be noisy ???
The Artic coolers are for graphics cards im sure they dont do them for anything else.0 -
A word of warning to anyone thinking of buying the Aldi PC. Inititial reports and reviews from Germany, where it went on sale last week, say it can be extremely noisy.
One on-line magazine review described it as "outrageously noisy" and said it was the loudest PC they have ever tested. Here is a link to a Google translation:
http://!!!!!!.com/3vlrk
In user forums, the PC has been described by some as sounding like a vacuum cleaner or a hair dryer. This is obviously not ideal if you are planning to use it as a multimedia centre to view digital TV in your living room!
Many German buyers seem to have returned the PC because of the noise problem.
On the other hand, some users report that they have not experienced the problem, so there seems to be some variation from one PC to another.
The forums have also been discussing possible ways of solving the problem but there is no consensus. It seems that Medion (the manufacturer) has crammed too many heat-producing components in too small a box. The heat from the processor alone has been compared to that from a 150W bulb, and the graphics card and power supply add to the heat. The hot environment could also shorten the lives of some components - and probably won't do much good to any CDs of DVDs in the PC.
At least one German supplier has already come up with a possible way of reducing the noise levels:
http://www.pcsilent.de/depd_medion_titanium_md_8383_leiser_machen_silent_kit-aldiset8383.asp
and there are sure to be others.
One German site were there has been considerable discussion of the PC is in the forum section of
http://www.discountfan.de/
(BTW, this is a useful site to get an idea of what may be arriving soon at Aldi, LIDL and Tchibo in the UK - usually a week or two after Germany. It also reveals, for example, that when Aldi do their twice-yearly PC deals in Germany, Dell tries to match or exceed them with a short-term offer which is not available in the UK.)
Without a doubt, the Aldi PC gives you a lot for your money - and maybe too much. If you don't plan to use all of the functions, a simpler PC that meets your particular needs may be a better buy.Nice to save.0 -
Bought one. Not noisy

There is 1 bank of memory left for upgrading, the graphics is not on board its the latest PCI Express socket graphics. so its easily upgraded if you want to.
There are 2 spare PCI slots if you want to add anything, all parts are standard fit so if you want to change anything you can.
Heres the info on it > http://www.medion.co.uk/md8383/0
